Once the feedback from the reviewers has been received, the euroCRIS Track at the 2021 VIVO conference “VIVO implementations at Latin American institutions: different approaches and configurations, one common objective” is now officially accepted.
The event programme for the 1st UdeC Open Access Week, to be held from June 14th to 18th 2021, includes a presentation on 'Open Science and CRIS Systems' to be delivered on Fri June 18th by the euroCRIS secretary.
The presentation will be in Spanish language and will add to the contributions by research funders like the Chilean ANID and institutions like the Technical University of Delft and Universidad de Chile.
A new monthly euroCRIS webinar on Tue Jun 22nd will be devoted to the Caplab software developed by the French AMUE (Agence de mutualisation des universités et établissements d'enseignement supérieur ou de recherche – shared-services agency for universities and other higher education and research Institutions). Caplab is an application for research labs where the activities, projects and research outputs of Units of Research can be stored.
Last week (May 17-21, 2021) saw the celebration of another successful series of euroCRIS webinars aimed to replace membership meetings we're still unable to hold as on-site events as of yet. The session recordings and slides for the five presentations held within the Spring 2021 series of euroCRIS webinars are already available from the event programme webpage.
The final dates – May 12-14, 2022 – for the CRIS2022 conference to be held in Dubrovnik (Croatia) were announced by the SRCE presenter Davorin Kremenjaš during his May 21st webinar on the CroRIS project to build a national Croatian CRIS.
A Spanish-language VIVO webinar called "A Research Information Management System in the Context of Open Science" will be held on Thu May 27th. This online event will mark the launch of the Spanish-language VIVO User Group led by euroCRIS Board member Anna Guillaumet.
Following the first series of euroCRIS webinars held last Nov 2020 to mark our virtual Autumn 2020 Membership Meeting, a new Spring 2021 series of webinars has been put together to replace the Spring 2021 Membership Meeting originally planned to be held as an on-site event at the Cyprus University of Technology in Limassol.
The slides for the presentation "Research Information Systems as Leverage for Open Science" delivered by euroCRIS President Sadia Vancauwenbergh at the EARMA Digital Coference 2021 on Apr 15th are already available in the euroCRIS repository.
The 2nd Foro Latinoamericano de Evaluación Científica—FOLEC will be held Apr 27-28, 2021 by the Argentinian National Council for Science and Technology (CONICET) and the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO). The Technical Secretary of euroCRIS has been invited to deliver a short talk and to chair the first panel discussion at the event on Apr 27th, whose topic will be "National Research Information Systems and the contribution of institutional repositories and CRIS systems to the design of research assessment indicators".
On Mar 22nd, 2021 euroCRIS submitted its application to become an Observer with the EOSC Association (a list of provisional EOSC-A members and observers as of Oct 28th, 2020 is available here). During the Mar 25th formal meeting of the EOSC Association Board of Directors, euroCRIS's application was provisionally approved.
