A guest talk on CRIS systems, research support and Open Science was delivered on Tue Jan 18th within the post-grad course on 'Research Support Services: Research Information, Data, Evaluation and Publishing' organised by University Pablo de Olavide (UPO) in Seville, Spain. The presentation explored a number of relevant institutional Open Science workflows where research information management systems play a key role and will provide a snapshot of the CRIS landscape in Spain based on the euroCRIS Directory of Research Information Systems (DRIS).

A plenary talk on the topic of "Research Information Management and Open Science" was remotely delivered by the euroCRIS Technical Secretary at the 4th LIS Academy Conference held Jan 6-8, 2022 at the Visvesvaraya Technological University (Belagavi, Karnataka State, India). The presentation, already available in the euroCRIS repository, stressed the need for system interoperability via standardised research information exchange mechanisms and provided an Open Science case study in the area of snakebite-related research.

First CRIS2022 keynote speakers announced

The two first keynote speakers for the CRIS2022 conference to be held May 12-14 in Dubrovnik (Croatia) have already been announced and are displayed on the conference website. These are Ana Marušić, Professor of Anatomy and Chair of the Department of Research in Biomedicine and Health at the University of Split School of Medicine and Ivan Marić, Director of University of Zagreb Computing Centre – SRCE. The former will address the topic of 'Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) and Research Information Systems' whereas the latter will elaborate on 'Developing research information management capabilities in Croatia'.
