The euroCRIS Strategic Membership Meeting was held from 8-10 November 2016 in Athens. This meeting has been organised in close collaboration with the NATIONAL DOCUMENTATION CENTRE (EKT/NHRF), the host for the meeting.

Welcome Reception: euroCRIS will offer you a welcome reception at the National Hellenic Research Foundation atrium on Tuesday November 8th, starting at 19.00 h.
Strategic Membership Meetings may be regarded as a combination of a Strategic Seminar and a regular Membership Meeting. During this meeting the accent is on discussion and exchange of ideas with both our Strategic Partners and Members.
The goal of the event is not only the exchange of information and ideas but more so, the exploration of possible concrete joint actions and projects towards the realisation of an improvement of the research information landscape, based on international standards. Of course, from the point of view of euroCRIS, the role CRIS and, in particular, CERIF can (and should) play in this respect will be a major focus of attention.
The central theme for the 2016 Strategic Membership Meeting is:
Towards optimal Research information Infrastructures on a national and international level.
What uses for which stakeholders? Through which collaboration(s), by which building blocks?
With special attention for: The road to a European Research Information Infrastructure.
We may be farther along this road than we realize (if we jointly grasp the present opportunities).
What can be learned from ongoing initiatives and collaborations within and outside of Europe?
Registration
Registration the event is mandatory, but free for euroCRIS members and local representatives. Non-members may also attend the meeting for a fee of 60 euros. With this fee they will automatically get a personal membership until January 1, 2017. Registration will close on November 1st, 2016.
The meeting dinner will take place on November 10th at the marvelous Prive Hall on the 1st floor of Aegli. The cost of the meeting dinner is 45 euros. The dinner can be booked in combination with the registration. Booking for the dinner will be possible until November 1st, 2016.
