Seminar 10-11 September 2012 Brussels
Horizon 2020 and Beyond
Auditorium Maria Baers
The EC has published its intentions for an ambitious programma of R&D to 2020. It brings together the various pre-existing programmes such as the Framework Programme, Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, European Research Council, and the European Institute for Innovation and Technology. There are linkages to other programmes and to structural funds. We explore what this means to CRIS (Current Research Information management systems) and how we meet the challenges.

CRIS: the strategic centre of the business
In the previous seminars the following topics have been covered: CRIS + ERA; CRIS + repositories (OA/GRIDs); CRIS + process / GRIDs; CRIS + Innovation; CRIS + e-Infrastructure. The theme for the coming seminar is a CRIS as the mechanism for providing a homogeneous view over repositories, administrative systems (finance, HR, project management) and simultaneously act as the control of workflow and the source for internal (to control systems) and external (view to the world) directories. In other words: CRIS: the strategic centre of the business (in any organisation concerned with research and development).
